Getting real and getting healthy takes commitment, it takes involvement. Chef Mario knows this and that’s why we teamed up with Black Box Fitness as they held Boxtoberfest 2015 here in Albuquerque!

The longest running and largest functional fitness competition was held the weekend of October 24th and 25th at Loma Colorado Park and the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center in Rio Rancho, NM

Boxtoberfest drew participants and spectators from all over the southwest, motivating athletes of all ability levels to perform their personal best.

This year’s events included a variety of modalities that incorporated strength, conditioning, and skills such as gymnastics and plyometrics, swimming, strongman-style contests and Olympic weightlifting.

It was an even to remember and it was sponsored in part by us here at Shut the Chef Up. It was a perfect fit, with our meal plans of all natural and organic ingredients and with each meal only containing 400 to 500 calories.
